Resource Room Teacher

Crescent Academy is currently hiring for a Resource Room Teacher for the 2025/2026 school year.

Crescent Academy serves over 700 students at grade level PreK-9. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Resource Room Teacher to join our team. The Resource Room Teacher plays a critical role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, helping them reach their academic goals and develop essential skills. The ideal candidate will be skilled in differentiated instruction, possess a deep understanding of special education practices, and demonstrate the ability to create a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Essential Duties:

• Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and instructional strategies tailored to each student’s unique needs.
• Provide targeted support to students with disabilities or learning challenges, helping them access the curriculum and develop academic and social skills.
• Develop, implement, and adapt comprehensive lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
• Implement appropriate interventions to promote growth and achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff
• Regular and predictable attendance
