SENIOR ADVANCED MANUFACTURING ENGINEERSOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN – WORLD HEADQUARTERS
As a member of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team, the Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting cost estimation, new product launch and leading standardization and innovation initiatives.
The Role:Your work will include, but not be limited to:
- Interface with industrial engineering team to determine equipment requirements
- Write technical purchasing specifications for custom assembly equipment
- Project management of equipment from planning to installation
- Develop & maintain documentation of standards for key equipment.
- Travel to support plants 25% average, 50% peak
- Fast-paced, project-based environment

- Interact with other departments on cross functional teams
Qualifications:
- >5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering
- Project management
- Technical writing
- Auto Cad Lt / 2D
- Experience with assembly equipment; build pallets, conveyors, end of line testers etc
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Must demonstrate high attention to detail
- Must have high sense of urgency
- Experience in JIT seating or automotive
- Experience with industrial control systems such as PLC
- Define assembly process
- Engineering / process change control
- MOST trained
- Line balancing
- Standard work instructions
- APQP
- PFMEA
