Position Summary:
Barton Malow Company is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team supporting battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across various locations. This travel-based position requires flexibility to work where project needs arise. The role involves planning, developing, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring onsite construction engineering activities for BESS initiatives. The Project Engineer will act as a liaison with architects, engineers, and owners regarding project progress and changes, ensuring clear communication and seamless project execution.

Key Job Responsibilities- Provide technical support for resolution and tracking of project issues.
- Manage all project document control.
- Process submittals and RFIs.
- Support Procurement in the distribution of bidding documents and tracking of bidders.
- Maintain project schedule.
- Prepare and issue meeting minutes.
- Assist with planning and managing site logistics.
- Enforce corporate safety policies on jobsite.
- Receive and review/evaluate contractor quotations for changes and process change orders.
- Manage plan review and approval process with local and state municipalities.
- 4-year engineering, construction management or related degree.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience or related construction internship experience.
- Prior industrial and energy experience preferred.
- OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to be self-directed in problem-solving.
- Proactive attitude with commitment to safety.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required by project needs.
