Position SummaryWe’re seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our Preconstruction department in Southfield, MI. This hybrid/remote role supports projects across all Barton Malow offices, focusing on power, lighting, and low voltage estimating for diverse construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Perform electrical power, lighting, and low voltage take‑off and pricing.
- Prepare estimates at conceptual, design‑development, and construction‑document levels.
- Support field operations by reviewing change orders and answering RFI requests.
- Assist the preconstruction team in bidding for general contracts, design‑build, and construction‑management projects.
- Address cost/design issue resolution and provide technical support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Individuals without an engineering degree are welcomed if they have experience on design/build projects and can generate estimates at conceptual level.
- Minimum 2‑4 years of design and construction experience.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs essential;
Revit modeling preferred.
Competitive salary range: $120,000 – $170,000.
