Arch Environmental Group is seeking an outgoing, self-motivated, and hard-working person to join our group of environmental professionals on the storm
WATER Team. The storm
WATER Team is a leading provider of stormwater, wastewater, and drinking water consulting services, as well as a plethora of other engineering and geological environmental services, to our clients throughout the State of Michigan. The position of Technician II assists Project Consultants with the implementation of new programs as well as support with the continuation of existing programs. A Technician II will develop and learn the skills needed to prepare reports, manage program documentation and communicate results to Clients.
Key Project Activities:
• Wet weather monitoring
• Drinking water sampling
Responsibilities:
• Complete projects in a safe, compliant and timely manner
• Ability and desire to work in the field with overnight stays
• Provide professional services in a mix of work locations – office and field support
• Work with more senior consultants to handle team wide projects
• Record test data and prepare reports, summaries, or charts that interpret test results
• Prepare and review inspection reports
• Prepare and manage program documentation
• Communicate with client regularly with project related results and activities
• Implement compliance programs as directed
• Meet deadlines established by the team and Client
• Maintain and calibrate equipment under equipment standards or other written requirements
• Attend and participate in weekly safety meetings and discuss safety related issues for upcoming personal and team assignments
• Attend and participate in monthly safety and professional development training and discuss team and company project activities
• Efficiently and accurately detail job performance details, including, but not limited to, billable and non-billable activities on a daily basis, submit expense receipts and record mileage related to business travel
Qualifications (Required):
• Competent in the use of computers and Microsoft Office products, primarily Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Able to demonstrate professional technical writing that is clear, well organized, and free from errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Ability to handle and manage multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously
• Ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures
• A willingness to occasionally modify personal schedules as required to meet project deadlines and/or client needs
• Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as required to complete projects
• Ability and willingness to travel to project sites in Pennsylvania and Indiana
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
• OSHA certified for OSHA Emergency Response (40-hour HAZWOPER)
