Our Auto PIP team is currently seeking a Sr. Recovery Analyst - MCCA.

This is a full time, non-exempt role with a hybrid work arrangement of 2 days in office.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sr. Recovery Analyst will be responsible for the aggressive recovery of monies and the proactive handling of Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association (MCCA) or Michigan Assigned Claims Plan files. They will have a demonstrated record of success with regard to evaluating and pursuing recoveries and reimbursements under the rules set forth by the MCCA or MACP. The role includes examining claim facts, medical treatment, and claim payments to discern between reimbursable and non-reimbursable losses and expenses.

The Analyst must demonstrate the ability to determine whether the claim is billable under the plans and have the ability to apply concepts and rules as part of the MCCA Claim Guide or MACP Plan of Operations. This is a fast paced environment and this individual must think critically; anticipate, identify, and develop solutions to problems in a timely manner.

THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
  • Proactive and strategic file evaluation of potential recoveries
  • Interpreting claim file materials and their correlation to the recovery process
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and file documentation
  • Decision making in accordance with jurisdictional guidelines
  • Accurate calculation of recovery potential
  • Provide meaningful feedback to management regarding claim developments
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of productivity and collaboration
  • Manage claims throughout the recovery process both internally and externally
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years working knowledge of Michigan No Fault claims adjusting and recovery practices
  • Familiarity with claims systems (HCS/CSS), Mainframe (PMS) and Bill Review Systems (Cor Vel/Power track)
  • Advanced computer experience (MS Office, Excel, Word, Access)
  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
  • Makes timely, informed decisions

  • Ability to win concessions without damaging relationships using negotiation and diplomacy skills
