CNC Operator

Operators use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform various functions. CNC Operators must be responsible and adhere to all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and mechanical aptitude are essential. The goal is to produce high-quality parts by programming machines to perform the correct operations.

• Prepare to load and unload raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
• Ensure the quality of products produced by the manufacturing cell, including visual inspection and measurement using hand gages.
• Verify conformance of machined or assembled parts using hand gages, CMM reports, and other measuring methods.
• Conduct SPC checks as indicated in the Control Plan or Work Instructions.
• Complete written or electronic reports and forms as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Understand purge and contain procedures for quality issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Mechanical inclination and basic manufacturing knowledge.
• Prior experience as a machine operator is preferred.
• Basic computer skills, reading, and math aptitude are a plus.
