Schedule:

3-12 Hour Day Shifts, rotating every other weekend and holiday.

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nursing Development Educators, the Unit Educator plans, implements, and evaluates educational and quality improvement activities on the nursing unit. They role-model excellence in patient care through clinical practice, continuous quality improvement, and integration of new nursing knowledge into practice, adhering to all standards of nursing care.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; current Michigan RN licensure required.
• Equivalent of four years of clinical experience with a defined patient population preferred.
• Interest and ability to teach patients, families, and co-workers.
• Leadership skills, good communication, problem-solving, organizational skills, flexibility, self-direction, and initiative required.

• BLS/ACLS certification.
• 2-3 years of Emergency Room experience.
