General

Job Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including pre‑operative assessment, intra‑operative anesthesia management and postoperative pain management.
• Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
• Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education.

Minimum Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program.

License & Certifications

• Active and unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Michigan.
• National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

Experience

• At least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting, though requirements may vary by assignment.
