Overview

Commercial Pest Control Technician – Rollins, Inc. (Orkin brand). As an Orkin Pro, you will deliver the promise of a safe place to live, work, and play for customers in a recession‑resistant industry with award‑winning training.

You will work on a designated service route, applying safe and effective pest control solutions, while building trust with customers in homes and businesses.

Commit to safety and professionalism while providing protection and service to customers. Manage daily route operations, scheduling, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

• Complete our award‑winning training to acquire the skills and knowledge required to serve customers.
• Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
• Follow a route schedule and daily operation within an assigned territory, ensuring timely and safe arrival at each customer location.
• Operate a company vehicle safely and keep the vehicle and equipment clean.
• Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
• Serve as a problem solver for each customer, listening to their needs and recommending the most efficient and innovative solution.
• Meet with customers to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services.
• Inspect the interior and exterior of the customer’s property.
• Communicate with customers to explain actions taken and discuss additional services.
• Complete all required service‑related documentation in a handheld device for speed and accuracy.

• Average first‑year earnings: $65,000–$120,000 (base salary plus uncapped commission).

• No industry experience required – we will train you.
• Experience in a service or skilled trades role is a plus.
• Professional driving or route management experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain the pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
• Ability to work independently in the field and manage route‑based assignments.

• Use a ladder within manufacturer weight capacity.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Wear personal protective equipment; may require an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
• Work in various weather conditions.
