Join our dynamic Technology – Engineering & Systems Integration team as a Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain the foundational infrastructure that powers our global applications. You will work closely with software engineers, Dev Ops, and data teams to ensure our platform is scalable, secure, and developer‑friendly.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring the final product meets their needs.
- Design and develop user interfaces that are not only functional but enhance user experience across mobile, web, and tablet platforms.
- Write clean, maintainable code and create specifications that support business objectives.
- Design and implement robust APIs and microservices using Python, FastAPI, and OpenAPI.
- Architect and maintain containerized applications with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Develop and optimize data models and queries using Postgre
SQL and ORMs such as SQL Alchemy. - Champion test‑driven development (TDD) practices, including unit and integration testing.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build distributed systems leveraging message queues (Rabbit
MQ), caching layers (Redis), and authentication mechanisms (Keycloak, OAuth2, OIDC, Azure AD). - Work with Azure cloud services, including API gateways (APIM, Front Door) and object storage (Azure Blob, File Storage).
- Explore and implement interactions with AI/LLM systems, agentic workflows, vector stores, and embedding‑based search.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance and reliability.
- Occasionally contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code.
- Travel may be required to meet with clients and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Typically 4–6 years of professional platform engineering or similar software development and system administration experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI for backend development.
- Solid experience with microservices architecture, API design, and implementation.
- Hands‑on experience with containers, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Deep understanding of relational databases, especially Postgre
SQL, and ORM tools. - Proven experience with unit testing, integration testing, and TDD methodologies.
- Experience with mTLS for secure service‑to‑service communication.
- Proficiency with Agile Delivery methodologies.
- Familiarity with Application Delivery Processes, Development Tools, and Quality Assurance practices.
- Understanding of Testing practices and the System Development Lifecycle.
- Experience in System Integration.
- Experience building and evolving distributed systems.
- Experience integrating technologies such as APIs, message queues, and caches.
- Familiarity with identity and access management tools (Keycloak, OAuth2, OIDC, Azure AD).
- Exposure to cloud services (Azure preferred) including API gateways and object storage.
- Experience with LLMs, vector databases, and semantic search.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Git Hub Actions) is an asset.
- Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to collaborate in hybrid environments and demonstrate proactive learning.
- A comprehensive compensation and benefits package with base salary ranging from $142,600 to $261,500 (US). Individual salaries are determined by multiple factors including education, experience, and geography.
