Key Responsibilities
  • Fleet Management & Maintenance
    • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on company vehicles (vans, trucks, trailers, excavation equipment).
    • Coordinate major repairs with outside vendors as needed.
    • Maintain complete records of all vehicle maintenance, mileage, and service history.
    • Track mileage and inspection schedules using digital tools.
    • Conduct monthly vehicle inspections and ensure company vehicle maintenance policies are followed.
  • Shop & Equipment Management
    • Maintain, service, and repair field tools and equipment, such as drain machines, jetters, cameras, and power tools.
    • Tag, track, and assign tools to individual technicians or trucks.
    • Ensure all shop equipment is functioning properly and ready for use.
  • Inventory & Procurement
    • Track inventory using Service Titan or similar software.
    • Maintain stock levels of materials, fittings, and parts.
    • Reorder inventory as needed based on usage and upcoming jobs.
    • Work with vendors to negotiate pricing and manage purchase orders.
  • Staff Support & Compliance
    • Support technicians with restocking vehicles and addressing equipment concerns.
    • Enforce company standards regarding tool care, vehicle cleanliness, and inspection documentation. Provide training and reminders on vehicle and equipment use policies.
Qualifications

3+ years of experience managing a fleet, maintenance shop, or related operation.

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on repair skills.

Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, hydraulic equipment, and power tools.

Ability to manage shop inventory, parts ordering, and tool tracking.

Proficiency with computer systems, recordkeeping, and software (e.g., Excel, Service Titan).

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

CDL is a plus, but not required.

Compensation: $50,000 – $60,000 per year (based on experience)

Schedule
