Position Title: Assistant Store Leader
Reports To: Store Leader
Classification: Full‑Time / Exempt / Salaried + Incentives
The Assistant Store Leader contributes to Range USA’s success by leading a team of engaged store associates to create and maintain the Range USA experience for customers. The role oversees workplace safety, customer satisfaction, sales performance, ATF compliance, and brand equity.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve high levels of sales performance and exemplary customer service.
- Monitor compliance with Range USA policies, including safekeeping of funds, personnel practices, and record‑keeping.
- Act as the Safety Leader in the store, coaching staff on safety and communicating with the Main Office.
- Manage the store’s applicant tracking system: recruit, interview, and hire top talent.
- Conduct the onboarding process with assistance from the Store Leader for new hires.
- Schedule staff using the scheduling tool, approve time‑sheets and absences.
- Train and develop employees on the sales process and associate performance goals.
- Provide ongoing feedback through coaching, counseling, assessments, and development plans.
- Maintain clear communication between the store, supervisors, and Main Office partners.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting service, efficiency, and productivity.
- Ensure ATF compliance and strict adherence to firearm selling and handling policies.
- Ensure OSHA & EPA compliance, including lead safety where applicable.
- Manage the range maintenance team personnel.
- Monitor completion of online learning management tool content.
- Handle safe counts and deposits.
- Open and close the store, including register counts and locking/unlocking procedures.
- Assist with all staff responsibilities as daily business needs require.
- Collaborate with the Operations Specialist to ensure all responsibilities are completed.
- Minimum of 3 years of retail sales experience.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, inventory management, and POS systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, strong relationship‑building skills.
- Customer‑focused approach, ensuring satisfaction and needs met.
- Experience in performance management and incentive goal reporting.
- High competency in assigned work, goal setting, and knowledge sharing.
