Tire & Battery Technician - Automotive

Position Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations.

• Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate associates on tools and tasks, and mentor new technicians.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, and point‑of‑sale systems.
• Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement.
• Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs; track returns and special orders; operate cash registers and process transactions; maintain accurate inventory and audit compliance.
• Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues and concerns.
• Model high‑quality service and products, influence and inspire others in a supportive, team‑oriented style.
• Apply company policies and procedures, maintain ethics, and use the Open Door Policy to handle concerns.
• Prioritize work assignments using data and resources, collaborate with managers and customers, and recommend improvements.
• Embrace diversity, build inclusive relationships, and support a culture of belonging.
• Maintain the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance, and support Walmart’s regenerative goals.
• Serve customers and members by delivering results and making decisions based on reliable information.

Base pay range: $18.00/hr – $25.00/hr additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour.

The hourly wage range will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Multiple premiums may apply.

• Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Must complete all required trainings and assessments within prescribed time if hired.

• Auto service industry experience.
• Retail experience.
