Claims Manager

The Claims Manager is responsible for managing the claims function within an area led by a Director of Operations.

Responsibilities And Duties
  • Compiling requirements and creating billing procedures for new agencies
  • Developing and testing more efficient means of computing/creating billings
  • Monitoring accounts receivable
  • Leading collections efforts within the department
  • Ensuring that invoice tracking is updated on a perpetual basis
  • Approving all write-offs and investigating trends/issues as appropriate
  • Identifying performance issues and facilitating training when appropriate
  • Collaborating on improvements with other departments to improve efficiency through technology and procedures
Supervisory Tasks
  • Supervision of the claims functions and staff
  • Coordination of the training of new employees on different calculation methods, software programs, billing formats, culture of the department, and core values of GT Independence
  • Maintaining the billing schedule and prioritizing workflow of the department
  • Oversight and assistance in maintenance of authorization/utilization management
  • Coordination with other Business Unit Managers on procedure issues
Education

College:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Job-Related Experience

Two years relevant experience preferred
