We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support production and warehouse operations. The role involves handling wire spools, operating building equipment, and ensuring accurate inventory and shipping processes.
Duties and Responsibilities- Accurately pull and cut wire from large spools to fill customer orders.
- Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
- Perform warehouse responsibilities as inventory management, packaging, and labeling.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing material for accuracy and damage and report any discrepancies.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
- Receive, store, and distribute incoming materials and products (may involve using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks).
- Properly complete production paperwork and utilize a barcoding system.
- Review and follow shipping order instructions and specifications.
- Operate an air compressed bander where required.
- Read packaging instructions on work orders.
- Handle tasks and cross-train to help the company meet its goals.
- High School degree or equivalent preferred. Prior experience or training in a related field or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must be able to use and understand simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals). Knowledge of the Standard/Imperial measuring system is required; metric system is a plus.
- Understanding and use of basic measuring instruments required; micrometers are preferred.
- Work from written specifications and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills.
- Maintain a good attendance record.
- Generally willing to work overtime.
- Work effectively with all other employees.
- Good communication skills.
- Open to learn about lean manufacturing.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Capacity and desire to learn.
- Ability to pass both a pre-employment background and drug screening.

- Stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms frequently above shoulders, climb steps, balance, and walk or hear.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
