Walk to End Alzheimer's Committee Member
The Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association depends on the commitment and dedication of its volunteers. We have a variety of opportunities to offer volunteers throughout Connecticut, including running special events, working in our offices, delivering education and programs, acting as advocates and speakers in the community, staffing helplines, and running Support Groups.
We invite you to join the committee for the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® – Central Connecticut or Western Connecticut (depending on your location). This dedicated group of volunteers is at the heart of every Walk (Walks take place in the Fall!), driving participation and growth of the world’s largest fundraiser to fight the disease.
- Central CT Walk located at Rockwell Park, Bristol CT.
- Western CT Walk in the Greater Danbury Area (to be determined).
- Recruit sponsors and teams, raise awareness of the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
- Participate in committee meetings once a month (first meeting in person, the remainder virtually).
- Create a moving event experience for participants on Walk day.
- Motivate, appreciate and engage participants year‑round with phone calls and handwritten notes.
