Are you seeking an exciting career with a nationally known industry leader? Ameri Gas Propane is looking for energetic, customer service-oriented individuals to join us as Transport Drivers
.

Responsibilities:

As a Transport Driver, you will operate a tanker truck (11,400-gallon capacity) to pick up propane at supply points (e.g., refineries, pipeline terminals, storage facilities) and deliver it to Ameri Gas facilities. The typical schedule involves four to five pickups and deliveries per day, covering approximately 500 miles daily, with shifts up to 14 hours. About 80% of your time will be spent driving or waiting at supply points.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Drive tanker trucks to pick up propane and deliver to Ameri Gas facilities; loading/unloading takes about 45 minutes.

• Connect terminal hoses to truck connections for loading and unloading.

• Use hoses stored on the truck or attached to ports for unloading, with hose lengths of 20 feet (3 inches diameter) and 19 feet (1.5 inches diameter).

• Conduct twice daily truck inspections.

• Climb ladders at some facilities to check gauges on bulk tanks.

Requirements:

• 3+ years tractor-trailer experience with at least 200,000 miles

• 1+ year tanker experience preferred

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements

• Eligibility for a TWIC card

• No accidents in the past 3 years

• No more than one moving violation in the past 2 years

The pay rate is approximately $0.6715 per mile, with a flat hourly wage of $23.98, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include performance bonuses or sales commissions.
