Role DescriptionThe Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting core accounting and finance functions, including accounting operations, monthly close and forecasting, data analysis, internal reporting, treasury management, external reporting, audits, contract management, and special projects. This position requires strong cross‑functional collaboration with the CFO, VP of Support, accounting team members, and other stakeholders across the organization.
Qualifications- Team player capable of working within any assigned team and with other GMi teams.
- Quick learner with the ability to learn on the job and teach others.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 5+ years of Accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of debits and credits, balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statements, etc. Must be able to speak the language of accounting.
- Ability to analyze numerical problems and package them concisely.
- Ability to analyze opportunities for improvement and work with management to execute.
- Strong business acumen. Needs to have a keen eye on the profitability of the business and not be narrowly focused on simply recording transactions.
- Effective communication capabilities, both written and verbal, with the ability to update job documentation.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Skill in the use of computers, specifically with a PC, Windows-based operating system, e‑mail, and Word.
- Very strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.).
- Ability to lead employees.
