The Controller is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting and financial operations, with a particular focus on construction-industry accounting, job costing, cash flow, financial reporting, and oversight of company-wide IT and HR functions. This position works closely with the President/CEO, managers, and operations team to ensure accurate financial information and strong financial controls.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; construction-industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with job costing, WIP accounting, percentage-of-completion accounting, and construction billing.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and cash-flow management.
- Experience with construction accounting software/ERP systems.
- Trimble Spectrum experience is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPA or construction accounting experience is a plus.
- Internal controls and accounting compliance
- Experience with an ESOP business structure is a plus.
