Early Childhood Class Instructor

For over 45 years, Gymboree Play & Music has led the way in early childhood play, music, and arts classes for children ages newborn to five years old and their parents. We are currently looking for instructors for our Southlake location to teach Play & Learn, Preschool Prep, School Skills, LEGO Camp, Gymboree On The Go, Music, and Art.

Gymboree instructors facilitate high‑energy parent‑child classes in play, art, and music; any child‑only classes for school readiness; themed and private parties using lesson plans provided by Gymboree. For Gymboree On The Go, instructors will travel to local preschools, daycares, or other venues; mileage will be reimbursed. Music teachers must have a good musical foundation, be able to sing well, read music, and teach the basic building blocks of music.

All instructors must be comfortable engaging children, encouraging their parents, and creating a fun, inclusive environment.

Applicants should have strong life experience, dependability, and personality. Previous experience with children and in retail sales or customer service is strongly preferred. Applicants are expected to exceed customer experience expectations, commit to ongoing training, and demonstrate Gymboree’s core value of Celebrating Childhood by nurturing strong customer relationships.

• Facilitate parent‑child and independent child classes in Gymboree Play, Art, and/or Music
• Host birthday parties
• Implement lesson plans according to Gymboree curriculum
• Meet and achieve sales goals
• Answer incoming calls, make outbound calls, greet and service customers
• Demonstrate basic computer and Internet skills
• Maintain site standards, including cleaning, stocking, pricing of merchandise, and equipment setup changes

Part‑time positions are available with a flexible schedule. Classes are held weekdays and Saturdays.

Compensation: $7.50 – $25.00 per hour.
