Summary

The Cook Children's Post‑Doctoral Fellowship in the Psychology Department provides a full‑time employment position designed to give Post‑Doctoral Fellows practical experience in the operations of a pediatric hospital outpatient behavioral health clinic. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations, generating treatment recommendations, and conducting evaluation feedback sessions. Fellows will be working with a broad range of patient populations, ranging in ages from 0‑18 years with a multitude of medical diagnoses and neurodevelopmental and/or neurocognitive disorders.

Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or PsyD in Psychology from an APA‑accredited clinical psychology training program
  • Training in child growth and development required
  • Prior experience in pediatric setting (preferred).
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to develop outstanding leadership skills
  • Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and customer relations practice
  • Must have educational background and training to function in the capacity of a psychological extender of services under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist as defined by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
Licensure
  • Texas Provisionally Licensed Psychologist desired but not required.
