The Child & Adolescent Psychologist will work with our multi‑disciplinary team to provide psychology and psychiatry services to children and adolescents, ages 2‑18, with behavioral, neurodevelopmental, and emotional challenges such as depression and anxiety, attention deficit disorders (ADD/ADHD), and autism spectrum disorders. Will provide outpatient psychotherapy (family and individual therapy) and psychological testing. The Psychologist must possess knowledge and understanding of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development and have experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses and a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests.
RequiredEducation & Experience
- Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an accredited institution.
- Training in child growth and development.
- Experience providing therapy to children with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma‑informed care (preferred).
- Understands the impact of trauma and ecological, biological, and developmental factors on children and adolescents.
- Prior experience working with children & families (preferred).
- Experience using a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to develop outstanding leadership skills.
- Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and maintain a positive experience for all children and families.
- Licensed Psychologist in the state of Texas, or the ability to obtain. (Will consider provisional license if close to licensure).
- American Heart Association CPR must be obtained prior to start.
