Pharmacy Technician - Retail Fulfillment

Join out Outpatient team! We are currently recruiting for a full time Pharmacy Technician opportunity with primarily day shift option and limited weekend commitments. Our pharmacy technicians are an essential member of our team in providing great care. At our Southlake location we provide patients with compounded and specialty medication services as well as coordinating home delivery within our fulfillment area.

• Prepares medications for dispensing:
  Independently fills prescriptions with accuracy.
• Distributes medications and stock items:
  Independently dispenses prescriptions with accuracy.
• Maintains Pharmacy Inventory:
  Independently restocks shelves and automation with accuracy. Checks for expired or missing products and reports discrepancies to leader.
• Operates pharmacy computer systems:
  Independently enters prescription data and patient information into pharmacy systems with accuracy.
• Compliance and recordkeeping:
  Follows standard procedures for labeling, documentation, and handling of medications.
• Patient Care:
  Provides courteous, professional service when assisting patients, caregivers, and staff. Directs medication related or clinical questions to a pharmacist.
• Medication Safety:
  Practices medication safety basics such as barcode scanning and double-checking labels; promptly reports discrepancies to pharmacists or leaders.
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

• No previous experience required

• High School Graduate or GED.

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Kansas locations: CPhT required by first board renewal.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Missouri locations: none
• Pharmacy Technician Registration
  - State Board of Pharmacy Kansas and/or Missouri - per work state upon Hire
• Technician must maintain certification on an ongoing basis and complete all continuing education requirements.

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR equivalent National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
