The PositionThe Field Service Contractor is responsible for testing, servicing, and maintaining binx io instruments across customer sites. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure instruments are operating at peak performance, support RMAs, and provide onsite support to minimize downtime. The candidate must be comfortable with travel, hands‑on troubleshooting, and managing multiple service tasks in a fast‑paced, rapidly evolving environment.
Must be located in the Dallas, TX area.
- Test and verify binx io instruments to ensure proper functionality.
- Run functional checks, diagnose mechanical/electrical issues, and uphold quality standards.
- Document test results and updates in Salesforce.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming RMA instruments.
- Perform triage to determine root cause and refurbish instruments per SOP.
- Prepare units for redeployment back into inventory.
- Travel to customer clinics as needed to install, service, or troubleshoot instruments.
- Provide professional onsite support to ensure minimal downtime and maintain client satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized workbench and service area.
- Support inventory management and ensure proper tracking of instruments and parts.
- Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, biomedical engineering, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in field service, technical support, or laboratory instrumentation preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM systems for documentation.
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to provide clear instructions and updates to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
