Bakery Production Manager - Southlake

Central Market is a specialty grocery store that started in Austin, Texas in 1994, and has grown to multiple locations across the state. Position: CM Bakery Production Manager

Summary: Responsible for the overall management of the Bakery department, including supervising a team of Partners, ensuring product quality, managing production schedules, and maintaining food safety standards. The role involves strategic planning, staff development, customer service, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop the bakery team, including hiring, performance reviews, and training.
• Plan production schedules to meet forecasted demand and ensure product quality and presentation.
• Monitor inventory, manage product assortment, and control costs related to waste and labor.
• Support sales initiatives through merchandising, promotions, and special events.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including regular assessments and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in bakery production and team management.
• Preferably, experience with tortilla production and baking/pastry education.
• Knowledge of European-style baking, complex preferments, and bakery equipment.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
