Key Holder

The Key Holder is the one who keeps the floor running when the Store Manager and Assistant Manager step away. For that shift, you are the acting manager on duty: leading the team, driving sales, and making sure every guest gets the Saint Bernard experience they came in for. This role is the first step on the leadership path here, built for someone ready to prove they can run the business, not just work a shift.

You're not simply opening or closing the store; you're leading it while you hold the keys.

• Lead by example in customer service standards
• Set the tone for energy, urgency, and professionalism
• Coach support staff in the moment: in-store pickups, phones, greeting, replenishment standards
• Resolve escalated customer concerns independently, work with management when needed

• Ensure every guest is greeted and welcomed in
• Anticipate potential issues and solve them before they become a problem
• Monitor fitting room and ski boot fitting experiences
• Use the bar to create an "at-home" shopping experience
• Lead by example during peak traffic, making sure every customer is tended to

• Open and close the store properly: cash handling, deposits, alarms
• Confirm merchandising standards are maintained
• Keep the ski shop tools and boot fitting area organized and safe
• Verify staff clock-ins for breaks with no gaps in floor coverage
• Send a detailed end-of-day recap email

• Assign zones and responsibilities at the start of each shift
• Adjust staffing on the floor as traffic shifts through the day
• Keep downtime productive: recovery, replenishment, client outreach
• Address minor performance issues in the moment
• Communicate larger issues to the General Manager promptly

• Full-time availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and black-out periods
• Strong organization, time management, and a genuine passion for the brands we carry
• Excellent customer service instincts and sound judgment under pressure
• Open, flexible availability for opening and closing shifts as the business requires
• Natural leadership instincts and the accountability to run a shift like it's your own store
