About the Role

As an HVAC Sales Technician, you are the trusted advisor in the home. You’ll evaluate existing systems, perform diagnostics, and design replacement solutions tailored to each customer’s needs. You’ll educate homeowners on system options, energy efficiency, comfort solutions, and long‑term value — all while delivering a premium customer experience. This is a consultative sales role, ideal for experienced service technicians who excel at communication and want to maximize their earning potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate HVAC systems and diagnose performance issues
  • Perform load calculations and design complete system solutions
  • Present repair, replacement, and upgrade options clearly and confidently
  • Educate homeowners on features, benefits, and long‑term value
  • Ensure all recommendations meet local codes and safety standards
  • Complete required documentation, financing paperwork, and call closeouts
  • Follow up on sales opportunities and maintain performance metrics
  • Represent Berkeys professionally in appearance, communication, and conduct
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience
  • Proven ability to diagnose systems and communicate solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative sales skills
  • EPA Certification and active TDLR card
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Comfortable working in attics, heat, and physically demanding environments
  • Professional, reliable, and customer‑focused mindset

Prior sales experience is a plus — training and support are provided.

What Will You Do?
  • Drive new sales for the company in a professional manner consistent with the company’s integrity and customer‑care standards
  • Perform sales presentations, as outlined in company selling process
  • Educate potential customers on value; inform customers of all special promotions, the benefits of high efficiency equipment and optional equipment and products
  • Document service performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, logs, and records
  • Attend appointments with customers as scheduled
  • Represent the company in a professional manner consistent with the company’s integrity and customer‑care standards
Do I Have What It Takes?
  • 5+ years Sales experience (Home Installation and Repair highly desired)
  • Excellent listening skills and can deliver an extraordinary customer experience
  • Possess strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Integrity and ability to promote a positive company image
  • Results driven in a high‑energy environment
  • At times, ability to crawl in tight places and climb ladders; work in attics, garages, crawl spaces and on roofs in hot, cold and wet conditions
