Paid to Scale Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a secondary school in Southport to recruit a Science Teacher to start after Easter. This is a full-time position continuing for the remainder of the academic year, with the possibility of extending into September for the right candidate.
The school is seeking a strong classroom practitioner to deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Applications are welcome from teachers specialising in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
The Role
Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring strong progress and outcomes
Assess, monitor and track student performance effectively
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting
A specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
