Role at Tesco
You will lead and motivate your team to communicate with our customers, offering expert sales advice and support to ensure we provide the best deal that meets their requirements, delivers unbeatable value, and earns their lifetime loyalty.

Sun: 10:00 – 16:00
Mon–Fri: 09:00 – 19:00
Sat: 09:00 – 19:00

Responsibilities- Listen to customers and act on feedback in a timely manner, following up on all complaints and ensuring team clarity on improving the shopping experience.
- Deliver a great shopping trip for customers every day, ensuring the team works effectively as per the Tesco operating model.
- Engage the team to deliver the best availability for customers throughout the day, working with the Stock and Admin manager to ensure weekly RFID counts are completed.
- Encourage passion for our products and maintain correct handling and storage routines.
- Create a positive first impression in your area, coaching the team to maintain shelf standards efficiently.
- Lead the service culture in your department, role‑modeling friendly service behaviours and enthusiasm for customer satisfaction.
- Actively control costs, deliver budgets, minimise waste and complete waste routines accurately.
- Work with the business to grow sales, ensuring the successful implementation of scheduled range and merchandising activities.
- Engage the team to bring benefits to the local community, encouraging participation in local community strategies.
- Ensure the team is trained and confident to approach customers and provide unbeatable value by selling the right products at the right price.
- Work shoulder to shoulder with team, Area Manager and management team to coach on what good looks like for the Phone Shop.
- Celebrate success with the team, be a caring manager and treat everyone with respect, helping the team make a difference for customers and staff.
