Keyresponsibilitiesinclude:

Recycling Advisor Conductsurveysandassessmentsofresidentialpropertiestounderstandcurrentrecyclingbehavioursandidentifybarrierstoparticipation. Engagedirectlywithresidentsthroughdoor-to-door visits,communityeventsandroadshowstopromotefoodrecycling,packagingrecyclingandgeneralwastereduction. Providetailoredadviceandpracticalinformationtoresidentsaboutthecorrectuseofrecyclingservices. Monitorparticipationlevels,capturefeedbackfromresidents,andhelpidentifyareasrequiringfurtherinterventionortargetedcampaigns. Assistinthedistributionofleafletsandothermaterialstoencouragecorrectrecyclingpractices. Supportcommunicationcampaignsandsocialmediacontentbyfeedinginlocalinsightsandexamples. Maintainaccuraterecordsofvisits,surveys,engagementactivitiesandresidentfeedback. Workcloselywithotherteams(e.g.collections,communications,enforcement) tohelpaddresslocalrecyclingchallenges. Undertakeotherduties,commensuratewiththegrade,asmayreasonablyberequired. Aboutyou Recycling Advisor  Goodgeneraleducation(e.g.GCSEsorequivalent). Experienceofworkingdirectlywiththepublic,ideallythroughoutreach,community engagement,salesoradvisorywork. Awarenessofrecycling,foodwasteandwiderenvironmentalissues(trainingcanbeprovided). Relevanttrainingincustomerservice,communityengagementorsustainability Experienceofrecordingandreportingdataaccurately(e.g.surveys,CRMsystems,Excel). Confident communicator,abletoengagewithresidentsfromarangeofbackgroundsinapoliteandpersuasiveway. Goodobservationalandproblem-solvingskillstoidentifylocalbarrierstorecycling. Abilityandfitnesstotravelaroundtheauthorityareaonpublictransportisessentialandanoystercardwillbeprovided. Thepostholderwillbeexpectedtocarryoutthedutiesofthepostwithdueregardtothe Authoritysrelevantcodesandprocedures.
