IT Project Manager, IT Consultant
Job Description
Whalley Computer Associates, Inc is seeking an experienced Systems Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multitasking and organization. The Systems Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the company’s technological initiatives, including overseeing IT operations, supporting the IT infrastructure, and implementing technological strategies to meet the organization’s business objectives. This role requires leadership, strong technical expertise, and the ability to drive innovation within the IT department.
Responsibilities- Manage servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment
- Assessing individual department needs, how they relate to the company’s strategic plan and ability to prioritize multiple projects and resources
- Liaising and managing all existing vendor and business partner relationships and development of new relationships where needed
- Collaborate with Vendor Contracts/Legal Leaders and Admin on all contracts and support agreements ensuring a thorough understanding of all services being provided and ensuring compliance with all internal policies
- Taking responsibility for 99.9% uptime of all business application systems and networks and ensuring they are maintained and routinely backed up in accordance with company retention policies
- Collaborates with Planning leadership on the development of the IT strategic plan
- Facilitates and leads business and systems decisions

- Builds and maintains strong partnership with strategic technology providers
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience, with at least 3 years’ experience as a leader managing IT teams
- Ability to manage and support cloud based or network colocation environments, including DFS replication
- Ability to manage Exchange and SQL database environments
- Strong passion to strive for excellence and optimal efficiency
- Understanding of contracts and ability to understand, design, negotiate and execute in conjunction with company procedures and legal
- Ability to manage and develop vendor relationships and realize when to utilize external versus internal resources
- Successful record of delivering projects on time, to specification and on budget
- Team player willing to work with peers to bring the whole team to the next level
- Must be able to pass a background check Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship
WCA offers competitive pay rates based on experience and ability. Full time positions include health insurance, dental insurance, paid vacation and personal time, holiday pay, 401K with company match, and long-term disability.
Location: Southwick, MA (WCA Headquarters)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5pm
