Container Maintenance

Overview

Container Maintenance role at Baker Commodities Inc. Safely and effectively performs general labor for reconditioning equipment used in the field and various duties around the facility.

• Clean/wash work area, machines, containers, trailers, vehicles and/or equipment
• Paint equipment or buildings, as necessary
• Use power washer to clean equipment
• Use chemicals with proper PPE provided
• Assist with container maintenance, pick-up and delivery (as needed)
• Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner
• Follow department and company procedures
• Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company
• Other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the business. These responsibilities may change from time to time as business needs evolve over time.

• Skill to operate, control, and monitor equipment
• Ability to work overtime and alternate schedule as needed
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Local travel requirements; less than 5% overnight travel

• Constantly (over 2/3):
  Operates and uses maintenance/mechanic tools including electrical hand tools. Must be able to position self to maintain equipment or perform duties of repairing work equipment. Must be able to detect and observe equipment in need of repair
• Frequently (1/3-2/3):
  Communicates with staff in the process of repairing equipment. Move and transport material, equipment and tools up to 70 lbs. with and without specialized lifting, moving and rigging equipment. Moves across wet/slippery and uneven surfaces
• Occasionally (under 1/3):
  Exposed to work in outdoor weather conditions. Remains in a seated position while using multi-limb coordination to operate equipment.
