Night Family Support Worker at Compass Community

Be among the first 25 applicants for this part‑time role at a 7‑bedroom Residential Family Assessment Centre in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire. You will provide high‑quality support to families and staff within OFSTED regulations, maintain safeguarding standards, and monitor safety and CCTV during night duties.

Responsibility & Duties

You will work within a multi‑disciplinary team to support Parent & Child placements in a residential setting. The role requires sensitivity, excellent safeguarding awareness, and the ability to handle family and staff needs during waking hours, ensuring families’ safety and effective night coverage.

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Requirements
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a Children’s Residential, Early Years or Children’s Social Care setting.
  • Level 3 – Health & Social Care (Child/Young People or Parent & Child).
  • Strong knowledge and experience of safeguarding, working with complex families.
  • Excellent communication skills in complex or challenging situations with families.
Preferable Skills and Knowledge

Experience of partnership working with families and external agencies, preferably in Safeguarding or Looked‑after Children’s teams.
