OverviewLecturer in Accounting & Finance teaching at the undergraduate level in the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexible teaching arrangements across weekdays, evenings and weekends. Your expertise in Accounting and Finance will ignite student passion.
Responsibilities- All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.
- Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate.
- Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
- Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
- Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
- Working towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
- Hold a Master’s degree in an accounting and finance field obtained in the UK or equivalent from PSRB's, or be a full member (PhD desirable).
- Have previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, Audit or similar subjects.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
- Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
- Experience in accurate reporting and maintaining thorough and organised student records.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
- Can work with diverse groups of people.
- Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on such a programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
- Fully qualified from PSRB's (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or IFA).
- 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays.
