Accounts Receivable Specialist

Our client is seeking an efficient and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their finance team in Soweto. This role is critical in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records. You will play a key part in the company's cash flow management and client relationships. The position is based at our client's office in Soweto, allowing for direct interaction with clients and internal teams.

• Manage and maintain customer accounts, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
• Process incoming payments, apply them to customer accounts, and reconcile any discrepancies.
• Follow up on overdue accounts receivable through various communication channels.
• Prepare aging reports and analyze accounts receivable balances.
• Resolve customer billing inquiries and disputes efficiently and professionally.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures for the accounts receivable function.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate or diploma in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related credit control role.
• Knowledge of accounting principles related to accounts receivable.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
