About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Administrative Assistant to oversee and direct administrative functions within their busy office in Soweto . This leadership role involves guiding a team of administrative staff, ensuring the efficient execution of daily operations, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity. You will be responsible for managing complex schedules, coordinating high-level meetings, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the office environment.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of administrative management. This position is vital for maintaining organizational efficiency and supporting strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of administrative assistants and support staff.
  • Oversee daily office operations, ensuring efficiency, organization, and adherence to company policies.
  • Manage complex calendars and coordinate executive-level meetings and travel arrangements.
  • Develop and implement improved administrative procedures and workflows.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for staff, visitors, and external partners, ensuring professional interaction.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in process improvement and administrative system implementation.
