Our client is seeking a sharp and analytical Energy Policy Analyst to join their strategic team in Soweto . This role is pivotal in researching, analyzing, and advising on energy policies and regulations that impact the company's operations and strategic direction within the South African context. You will contribute to shaping the company's response to evolving energy landscapes, market trends, and legislative changes.

- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of current and proposed energy policies and regulations at national and provincial levels.
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and technological advancements affecting the energy sector .
- Prepare policy briefs, reports, and recommendations for senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Assess the potential impact of policy changes on the company's operations, financial performance, and strategic objectives.
- Engage with government bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders on policy matters.
- Support the development of the company's policy advocacy positions and strategies.
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Energy Management, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in policy analysis, research, or a related role, preferably with a focus on the energy industry .
- Strong understanding of South Africa's energy policy framework, market structures, and regulatory environment.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
