Civil Engineer - Site Supervision; Construction

About the Role

Our client requires a diligent Civil Engineer to serve as a Site Supervisor for construction projects in the Soweto area. This role is hands-on, focusing on overseeing the day-to-day execution of civil works on construction sites, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and project schedules. You will be the primary point of contact on-site, liaising between the design team, contractors, and project management.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple on-site challenges effectively in a demanding construction environment.

• Supervise and manage all on-site civil engineering construction activities.
• Ensure that construction work is performed according to approved plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality control checks, and progress reporting.
• Coordinate the work of subcontractors and labor on site.
• Identify and resolve site issues and discrepancies promptly to minimize delays.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, incident reports, and material usage.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil construction supervision.
