About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager (Civil) to spearhead major civil construction projects within the Soweto area. This leadership role requires a proactive individual to manage all facets of construction operations, from site setup and resource allocation to ensuring strict adherence to project timelines, budgets, and safety protocols. You will be the primary point of contact for site teams, subcontractors, and clients, driving project success through effective planning, coordination, and problem-solving.
This is an excellent opportunity for a results-oriented manager to make a significant impact on key infrastructure developments in Gauteng .
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for civil engineering projects.
- Develop and implement detailed construction schedules, ensuring timely project completion.
- Manage project budgets, control costs, and approve expenditures.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel effectively.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor quality and address issues promptly.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on civil infrastructure.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control processes.
- Proficiency in construction project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
