About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Construction Equipment Operator to join their team working on projects in and around Soweto . You will be responsible for operating heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes to perform various construction tasks. Safety, efficiency, and precision are paramount in this role, ensuring that earthmoving, excavation, and material handling are performed correctly and without incident.

This position is essential for the smooth progress of construction projects, contributing to the development of the local infrastructure.

• Operate heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently according to project requirements.
• Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Read and interpret site plans and grading stakes to ensure accurate operations.
• Transport materials and earth across construction sites as directed.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.

• Proven experience as an Equipment Operator on construction sites.
• Valid licenses and certifications for operating various types of heavy machinery.
• Proficiency in operating excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, etc.
• Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety procedures.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
