Site Engineer - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and technically proficient Site Engineer to support construction projects in Soweto . You will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects on-site, ensuring that work is executed according to design specifications, engineering principles, and quality standards. This role involves interpreting blueprints, managing site activities, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of the construction process.

The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering knowledge and the ability to effectively bridge the gap between design and execution in a dynamic site environment.

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints , and technical specifications.
• Supervise and guide construction activities on site to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors and site labor.
• Conduct quality control checks and ensure adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
• Monitor site progress, report on performance, and address any technical issues that arise.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of construction equipment and materials.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar engineering role in construction .
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations on construction sites.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in Soweto .
