Construction Foreman - Civil Works

Our client is looking for a hands‑on and experienced Construction Foreman to lead civil works crews on various projects in the Soweto area. This role is essential for supervising daily site operations, ensuring that work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for guiding and motivating your team, coordinating tasks, and ensuring the effective use of resources.

This is a crucial on‑site position for someone with a strong background in civil construction and proven leadership abilities. Your practical expertise will be key to the successful delivery of community‑focused infrastructure projects.

• Supervise and direct daily activities of civil construction crews, including laborers and equipment operators.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting toolbox talks, and addressing hazards promptly.
• Manage the allocation and efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment on site.
• Monitor work progress, identify any deviations from the schedule, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and project managers on work plans and progress updates.

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or in a similar supervisory role in civil construction.
• Solid understanding of civil works, including earthworks, concrete, and infrastructure installation.
• Knowledge of construction equipment operation and maintenance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
