Construction Manager - Civil Projects

Our client is seeking a seasoned and results-driven Construction Manager to lead their civil project endeavors in Soweto . This senior position requires a leader capable of managing all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction planning through to final completion. You will be responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in civil construction management, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to effectively coordinate diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve project success.

• Manage and supervise all aspects of construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project execution plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progression.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to specifications.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, progress reports, and financial records.
• Resolve site issues and conflicts promptly and effectively to minimize project delays.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a significant focus on civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with relevant construction safety standards and environmental regulations in South Africa.
