About the Role
Our client is seeking a promising Junior Architectural Technologist to join their dynamic team in Soweto. This role is ideal for an individual with a foundational understanding of architectural technology and a strong desire to develop their technical skills in a professional setting. You will assist senior technologists and architects in producing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation. Working within a hybrid model, you will benefit from collaborative office-based work and the flexibility of remote access, contributing to a variety of exciting projects and gaining practical experience in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details using BIM software.
- Support the development of technical specifications and other project documentation.
- Coordinate with senior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and building regulations.
- Participate in site visits to gather information and document existing conditions.
- Help manage project files and drawings, ensuring they are up-to-date and organized.
- Learn and apply best practices in architectural technology and construction detailing.
- National Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of architectural design and construction principles.
- Proficiency in Revit is required;
AutoCAD skills are beneficial. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise in a professional capacity.
