Aircraft Cabin Interior Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Aircraft Cabin Interior Specialist to join their team in Soweto . This hybrid role focuses on the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of aircraft cabin interiors, ensuring they meet aesthetic, functional, and safety standards. You will work closely with design teams, engineers, and maintenance crews to oversee cabin projects, from minor repairs to complete overhauls. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of materials, craftsmanship, and aviation regulations pertaining to cabin interiors.

This position requires a blend of practical skills and project coordination abilities, contributing to the passenger experience and aircraft value. You will spend time both on the hangar floor and in project management settings.

• Perform high-quality repairs and refurbishments on aircraft cabin components, including seats, galleys, lavatories, and overhead bins.
• Inspect cabin interiors for wear and tear, damage, or non-compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for the removal and installation of cabin components during scheduled maintenance.
• Assist in the selection and sourcing of cabin interior materials and finishes.
• Ensure all cabin interior work adheres to strict aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage smaller cabin refurbishment projects, tracking progress and ensuring timely completion.

• Proven experience in interior refurbishment, upholstery, or a related craft.
• Experience working with aircraft cabin interiors is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of aircraft cabin materials, regulations, and maintenance procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Good communication and organizational skills for managing tasks and coordinating with teams.
