About the Role
Our client is seeking a proficient BIM Coordinator specializing in Architecture to join their growing team in Soweto . This role is crucial for managing and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across architectural projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective use of BIM software, coordinating models, resolving clashes, and maintaining model integrity throughout the project lifecycle. This is a key position for an individual passionate about digital construction methodologies and contributing to cutting-edge projects within the Gauteng region.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop BIM execution plans for architectural projects.
- Coordinate architectural models with consultants (structural, MEP) to ensure clash detection and model integrity.
- Develop and maintain BIM standards, templates, and libraries for the architectural team.
- Provide technical support and training to architectural staff on BIM software and workflows.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of BIM models and associated data for projects in Soweto.
- Collaborate with project teams to leverage BIM for design analysis, visualization, and documentation.
- Degree or diploma in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with BIM on architectural projects.
- Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, with a strong understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650).
- Experience in model checking, clash detection, and federated model coordination.
- Knowledge of South African construction industry practices and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively manage complex digital project information in Soweto.
