About the Role
Our client is seeking a caring and dedicated Foundational Learning Support Practitioner to join their team in Soweto . This role focuses on providing essential support to young learners in their crucial early years, addressing learning challenges and ensuring they develop the necessary foundational skills for academic success. You will work closely with teachers and parents to identify individual needs and implement tailored support strategies.

- Provide targeted support to young children experiencing difficulties in foundational learning areas such as literacy and numeracy.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual learning plans and interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate support strategies into classroom activities.
- Work with parents to reinforce learning at home and provide guidance on supporting their child's development.
- Monitor and document student progress, reporting on effectiveness of interventions and identifying further needs.
- Qualification in Early Childhood Development, Learning Support, or a related field.
- Experience working with young children, particularly those facing learning challenges.
- Understanding of foundational literacy and numeracy development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and adults.
