About the Role
Our client is seeking a hands-on and experienced Solar Energy Installation Manager to oversee and execute solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in the Soweto region. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in solar installations, and excellent project management skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage installation teams, coordinate logistics, and liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate is passionate about renewable energy and committed to driving the adoption of solar power.
- Manage all aspects of on-site solar PV installations , from initial site assessment to final commissioning.
- Supervise and direct installation crews, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and company standards.
- Develop project schedules, manage resources, and ensure timely completion of installations.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the installation process to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Liaise with clients, inspectors, and other stakeholders to address concerns and facilitate project progression in Soweto
- High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant technical certification or degree in a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in managing solar PV installation projects.
- Proven experience with various types of solar mounting systems, wiring, and inverter technologies.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices, OSHA regulations, and local building codes.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to solar energy systems.
