Mechanical Applications Engineer vacancy in Johannesburg-East. BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science. Minimum 1-3 years of working experience in the mining sector, with a focus on product development or heavy industry. Will be responsible for report writing.

This role is distinct from a pure Design Engineer, as it is more customer-facing and focused on the practical application of products, acting as a "bridge" between sales, engineering, manufacturing, and the Client.

• BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the mining sector, applications engineering, or product development, in the mining or heavy industry.
• Willing to travel to customer sites for inspections.

• Product Development and Testing:
  Collaborate with manufacturing teams to test new products, improve existing product designs, and provide feedback on market trends.
• Technical Reports and documentation:
  Create and maintain technical data sheets, installation manuals, safety instructions, and inspection reports. Accuracy of failure analysis and reporting.
